Dr. Stephen Burke and his wife Bonnie, keynote speakers for the 2026 Missions Conference

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Stephen Burke

Dr. Stephen Burke is a veteran BIMI missionary who, with his wife, Bonnie, served the Lord for some 40 years in Singapore and Southeast Asia. After God called him to preach, he trained at Baptist Bible College, and he and Bonnie arrived on the field in 1986.

Across four decades of ministry the Burkes planted three churches, led Bible institutes, and taught in Bible colleges — pouring into national pastors who now carry on those works. Having transitioned from church planting, they now serve with BIMI’s ARM (Assistance & Relief Missionaries), continuing to invest their wealth of knowledge and experience in the cause of worldwide evangelization.

We are honored to welcome the Burkes to Grace Community Church to share how God is at work around the world and how our church can take part in the Great Commission. You can read more about their ministry on BIMI’s website.

ARM — Assistance & Relief Missionaries

The ARM personnel of BIMI are Assistance & Relief Missionaries — those who have served the Lord faithfully for many years in missions but are no longer able to carry out the rigorous tasks of their previous ministry. They still have a tremendous amount to offer in the work of worldwide evangelization. Because of their wealth of knowledge, their many years of experience, and their continuing service, these missionaries are worthy of support.

Having left their original field of service, ARM missionaries continue a meaningful ministry through BIMI, sustained by the prayers and support of local churches.
